Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using FixSlip (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use FixSlip. These terms apply to all users, including operators of repair shops and their technicians.
FixSlip reserves the right to update these terms at any time with 30 days’ written notice. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the new terms.
2. Service description
FixSlip is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform designed for independent repair shops to:
- Create and track repair jobs
- Generate unique, shareable tracking links for customers
- Send email notifications to customers upon job creation
- Send SMS notifications when jobs are ready for pickup
- Manage job status updates (6 stages: CHECKED_IN → PICKED_UP)
- Archive completed or cancelled jobs
- Manage staff access via technician invites
FixSlip does not:
- Replace point-of-sale (POS) systems or inventory management
- Provide accounting, invoicing, or tax services
- Guarantee SMS or email delivery (dependent on Twilio/Resend uptime)
- Provide unlimited data retention or guaranteed 100% uptime
3. User responsibilities
By using FixSlip, you agree to:
- Use FixSlip lawfully only, for legitimate repair shop operations in your jurisdiction
- Obtain proper consent from customers before storing their personal data (name, phone, email)
- Keep your password confidential and not share account access with unauthorized persons
- Not reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse the Service (including scraping, automated access, or bypassing rate limits)
- Not upload malware, spam, or illegal content
- Comply with all applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) as the data controller. FixSlip is your processor.
- Pay invoices on time. Late payment may result in service suspension.
You are fully responsible for all activity on your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately.
4. Subscription & billing
4.1 Trial & Paid Plans
New accounts start with a 14-day free trial of the Growth plan (250 jobs/month). No credit card required to start.
After the trial ends, you must select a paid plan to continue using FixSlip:
- Starter: $19/month (50 jobs/month, 1 technician)
- Growth: $29/month (250 jobs/month, 3 technicians, SMS included)
- Pro: $49/month (unlimited jobs, 10 technicians)
4.2 Recurring Charges
Subscriptions renew automatically on the same day each month (or year if you choose annual billing). We will charge your payment method on file. If payment fails, you have 7 days to update your payment method; after that, your account is suspended.
4.3 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Billing page. You retain access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. No refunds for partial months.
4.4 Job Limits & Overage
Each plan includes a monthly job limit. If you exceed the limit, we will notify you before blocking new job creation. You can upgrade your plan immediately or wait until the next billing cycle.
5. Service availability
FixSlip aims for 99.9% uptime, but we do not guarantee it. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (Neon, Vercel, Resend, Twilio). Outages at any of these providers may impact FixSlip.
We reserve the right to:
- Perform maintenancewith 48 hours’ notice
- Modify or discontinue featureswith 30 days’ notice
- Change pricingwith 30 days’ notice
- Suspend access for violation of these terms or unpaid invoices
6. Intellectual property
You own all rights to the data you input into FixSlip (customer names, job notes, etc.). By using FixSlip, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display this data solely to operate the Service.
FixSlip, its design, features, and interface are owned by FixSlip and protected by copyright. You may not copy, modify, or distribute FixSlip without permission.
7. Limitation of liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. FixSlip disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
FixSlip shall not be liable for:
- Lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Third-party claims or actions
- Failure to deliver emails or SMS (Resend/Twilio are independent providers)
- Customer disputes or chargebacks
Maximum liability: Your total liability and our total liability shall be capped at the fees you paid FixSlip in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. If you are in such a jurisdiction, the above disclaimer may not apply to you in full.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FixSlip from any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your violation of these terms
- Your use of FixSlip in violation of law
- Your data or content you upload
- A third party’s claim about your use of the Service
9. Termination
FixSlip may terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these terms
- Engage in illegal activity
- Abuse or attempt to hack the Service
- Do not pay invoices for 30 days after notice
Upon termination, your access is revoked. You may request your data export within 30 days; after that, it will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.
10. Dispute resolution
If you have a dispute with FixSlip, please email hello@fixslip.com with details. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
Governing law: These terms are governed by the laws of the United States (federal), without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in the United States for any legal proceedings.
11. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement: These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FixSlip.
Severability: If any part of these terms is found invalid, the remaining parts shall continue to apply.
No waiver: Our failure to enforce any term does not mean we waive the right to enforce it later.
